Vic: Decision on suspended ATSIC leader expected in days
MELBOURNE, Jan 15 AAP - Suspended ATSIC chairman Geoff Clark has welcomed news that
a decision about whether he will be sacked was a few days away.
Mr Clark has remained suspended on full pay as head of Australia's peak indigenous
body since August after the Victorian County Court upheld a conviction for obstructing
police in a pub brawl in the town of Warrnambool.
An application to stop Indigenous Affairs Minister Amanda Vanstone from taking action
against Mr Clark was heard in the Federal Court today.
