NSW: Carr warns compulsory water restrictions a month away

SYDNEY, Feb 6 AAP - Compulsory water restrictions would be imposed in NSW next monthif there was no major rainfall soon, Premier Bob Carr warned today.
Mr Carr said people responded well to voluntary restrictions but storage levels werestill falling.
"Water storage for Sydney, the Blue Mountains and Illawarra are at 60.1 per cent, fromaround 65 per cent in recent months," he told ABC Radio.
"We're happy with the fact that people have cut their water consumption... (by) about12 per cent since voluntary water …
