Fed: Aussie soldier wounded in Afghanistan returns home

A special forces soldier seriously hurt by a bomb blast in Afghanistan earlier this
month has returned to Australia for further medical treatment.

Army chief Lieutenant General KEN GILLESPIE says the unnamed soldier .. who suffered
life-threatening wounds following the roadside bomb explosion on April 4 .. has received
specialist treatment in Germany.

He says he's encouraged by reports the soldier's condition has improved.
